Time is everything, especially, when it’s the time spent waiting for a website to load. You’re seconds away from your goal but have to wait because the advertising content and trackers take those seconds to load.
In our recent survey, we’ve found out that a third of respondents notice the slower browsing experience due to advertising. That gave us the idea to run a quick test and see whether the time consumed for loading ads really makes a difference.
We’ve tested the world’s top media websites by loading them with and without advertising content. The results were not shocking: A big portion of loading time has nothing to do with the content you came to see.
Even though the difference is seconds, it’s still a fact that you would wait noticeably shorter for a website to load if it didn’t contain all those ads.
