About the Role 

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our team of talented Data Engineering experts.

The team is responsible for designing, developing, and operating services that enable data analytics across the organization and for all its customers. We primarily work with cloud-native solutions (AWS) and cutting-edge technology.

This role involves line management, project management, and hands-on technical work. You will thrive in a diverse environment, both in terms of nationality and expertise. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing and scaling data engineering teams, with extensive experience in the AWS technology stack.

In This Role, You Will: 

  • Lead and grow a team of data engineers in the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and architectures. 
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing. 
  • Collaborate defining Data Governance processes and drive Data Privacy initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions that empower data-driven decision-making. 
  • Manage the development and deployment of data applications and platforms on AWS, ensuring high performance and alignment with business objectives. 
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team. 

Requirements

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Experience mentoring and coaching team members. 
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team. 
  • Experience leading remote teams. 
  • Experience with AWS services especially in the data domain. 
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, query languages, and big data technologies. 
  • Troubleshooting experience (Data Pipelines, Cloud Services, …). 
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, …). 
  • Documentation skills (processes, diagrams, technical designs). 
  • Experience with Agile Development Methodologies. 
  • Passion for software development and engineering. 
  • Hands-on and can-do attitude. 

What Will Make You Stand Out: 

  • Technical writing skills. 
  • Experience in Secure SDLC.
