Senior Software Engineer (Node.js/TypeScript)

Your code will protect millions of devices. At CUJO AI, our OTM (On The Move) team builds Android and iOS apps backed by a cloud platform deployed on AWS — delivering cybersecurity and parental control features to users on the go.  

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with proven experience in programming using TypeScript/Node.js on AWS serverless services, to build secure, scalable services that mobile apps and network service providers rely on worldwide. 

In This Role, You Will: 

• Design and build cloud-native services on AWS serverless architecture using Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, AWS CDK, DynamoDB, CloudFront, MSK, and more. 
• Build RESTful APIs to develop backend services around OTM product functionality, integrate with existing CUJO AI platforms — all using Node.js/TypeScript. 
• Own infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions). 
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize systems for reliability at scale. 
• Mentor engineers and collaborate across distributed, multinational teams. 

What We’re Looking For: 

• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and Node.js. 
• Experience with AWS services. 
• Experience with OAuth2.0 / OpenID Connect and secure authentication flows. 
• Track record of building CI/CD pipelines and driving test automation. 
• A security-first mindset and comfort working in Agile teams. 
• Fluent English. 

What Will Make You Stand Out: 

• Deep experience with AWS services and workloads at scale. 
• Strong architectural documentation and system design skills. 
• Knowledge of VPN technologies (OpenVPN, WireGuard server management and extensions) and networking fundamentals. 
• Familiarity with AI-assisted dev tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI). 
• Willingness to pick up other programming languages as needed (Java, Kotlin, Python, Go). 
• Android/iOS development experience.
