IT Engineers at CUJO AI manage organizations’ computer systems, including software, hardware and networks (both cloud-based and local). They are responsible for designing, installing and supporting the
computer systems and networks. Security Engineers perform IT Engineer duties however prioritize in taking care of the organization’s security infrastructure needs.

In the team, IT Security Engineer usual responsibilities will include

  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems; diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Supporting the roll-out of new applications
  • Responding within agreed time limits to call-outs
  • Documenting system configurations; updates they make to a system and any new procedures or policies created in their work
  • If needed act as a project manager overseeing IT staff and coordinating with vendors and internal users when implementing a new system. May be required to set up meetings, present information
    and order supplies and equipment when working on a project
  • Engineers will create an IT or computer system specific to CUJO AI needs. This often entails some programming and scripting knowledge, as well as planning, configuring, testing and monitoring new
    systems

IT Security Engineers prioritize on the following

  • Monitoring and Managing various security-oriented systems including, but not limited to: SIEM, Endpoint protection, Vulnerability scanning software
  • Analyzing IT architecture on areas of security improvement, enabling monitoring coverage
  • Researching and implementing security solutions for the CI/CD pipeline in the software delivery process, while identifying security weak links and figuring out how to eliminate them
  • Providing guidance to colleague engineers on secure system design and implementation

Competencies

  • We are looking for an IT Security Engineer with excellent time management skills and analytical thinking, who will have hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments.
  • Understanding security practices, networking infrastructure and database systems
  • Strong overall IT knowledge of computer systems and networks
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, not to be afraid to take responsibility over problems or internal team projects
  • Familiarity with internal directory applications and help desk software (e.g. Active Directory, Jira), basic scripting with bash, python, powershell or perl.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to fluently discuss technical subjects with non-technical audience, ability to provide step-by-step technical help
  • Managing multiple cases or projects simultaneously
  • Experience with the following systems: IDS/IPS, SIEM, Endpoint protection, DLP, Cloud Security solutions, Vulnerability scanning/assessment, Penetration testing
  • Cloud computing experience, particularly AWS
  • Experience in securing Linux OS based cloud applications
  • Practical experience in applying ISO27001, SOC2 or other relevant security framework
